Drowning Dog Saved By Mysterious Man in Red! Hands-on Demo and Review of #StikBots Zanimation Studio

Posted in : Reviews on by : Fat Dad

This week we review the #StikBots Zanimation Studio Pets set along with the #StikBots Action Pack. These are great fun and make it really easy to do stop-motion animation with green screen or blue screen special effects.

We look at the Zanimation Studio Pets which comes with a stage, a StikBot, a StikPet, prop boxes and a tripod. We also look at the Action Pack which gives you loads of weapons and attachments to use in your videos.

Setting up is easy, although the yellow dog didn’t work well on the green screen so we turned the stage around and used the blue screen (it’s a great idea having both!). The app runs on both Android and iPhone and, as you can see in the video, it’s easy to use. The only issue we had, really, was adding sound to the video – it seemed to play it at the wrong time. So we didn’t bother, and just added music afterwards.

The characters are strong and after a bit of practise you can get them in all sorts of positions. It does take quite a long time to record a video though so bare that in mind – our 14 second video took over an hour…

#StikBot Zanimation Studio Pets has an RRP of £21.99
#StikBot Action Packs have an RRP of £9.99

Note: We were sent the #StikBots free of charge for the purpose of this review. All thoughts and opinions are our own.
